STAHLGRUBER EXHIBITION MUNICH

Great start into exhibition season

STAHLGRUBER successfully rang in the 2017 trade fair season with an excellent start to its exhibition in Munich. With 200 exhibitors from almost every segment in the automotive repair industry in attendance, the exhibition once again offered its visitors stimulating information and new insights. The exhibition this year covered a record total floor space of 13,000 sqm. Visitor numbers remained stable vis-à-vis the previous year, with some 6,000 visitors (not including children) converging on Munich’s exhibition centre to find out more on the two days of the show.

Digital transformation – also the motto of this year’s exhibition – is the current hot topic in the automotive repair industry. Both communication with the driver and the car and all workshop processes are digital or can be digitally supported. With regard to workshop equipment, there is a clear demand for devices that leverage the new digital possibilities. For example new-generation diagnostic devices with PassThru, i.e. with digital access to maintenance, service and diagnostic information on OE portals are highly sought after.

New legal requirements, governing headlight adjustment and brake testing, for example, also triggered heightened interest in the relevant machinery. What’s particularly pleasing is that many of our customers took advantage of our suppliers’ exhibition offers and opted to make a purchase there and then. The resounding positive feedback from our visitors and clear increase in sales, up more than 20% on the previous year, are impressive confirmation of this.

For STAHLGRUBER, the exhibition year 2017 therefore could not have got off to a better start, and we’re now looking forward to the upcoming trade fairs in Chemnitz (01 & 02 April 2017) and Frankfurt (20 & 21 May 2017).
