Positive Balance of the Digital Trade Fairs

STAHLGRUBER and PV Automotive are pleased about strong customer response at this year’s digital trade fairs.

The car parts wholesaler STAHLGRUBER, based in Poing near Munich, and its subsidiary, Essen-based PV Automotive, have drawn a positive balance of their two digital trade fairs. In consequence of the Corona Pandemic, both companies had decided early on to let the STAHLGRUBER Leistungsschauen and the PV LIVE! take place in digital form this year – as an Leistungsschau Online and PV LIVE! ON.

“Our digital exhibition concepts were excellently accepted by our customers, the number of visitors and the resulting order volume for both companies speak a clear language here”, so the pleasing summary of the overall project manager Sebastian Schneider.

“We have consequently reacted to the current situation in our country with the right measures at exactly the right time. With the help of these digital tools we could make it possible for our customers despite Pandemie to inform themselves at STAHLGRUBER and PV Automotive about current trends, newest repair solutions and developments, workshop equipment and tools”, supplements STAHLGRUBER fair boss Michaela Hueber.

Both enterprises lifted thereby in record time an absolute success model from the baptism, which encountered high acceptance with customers, suppliers and selling partners. Attractive and user-friendly features did the rest, so the fair assortment of both wholesalers could be viewed via online leaf catalogs, which were integrated exactly like the fair platform itself into the new customer portals STAkis 4.0 and PV:COMPASS 4.0. Both the virtual trade fair visit and all order processes thus took place within the already familiar systems. In addition, both events offered numerous online training courses, well thought-out and clearly structured landing pages, attractive day and weekend deals and attractive competitions.

In addition to the approximately four-week online action platform, STAHLGRUBER also presented the so-called live days in the week before last in October. For the customers it was called here: Diving into a virtual fair world, in which one could move from hall to hall and from booth to booth. The “stand personnel” of our suppliers, who presented themselves with a variety of attractive topics, could be reached via live chat on these days. Additionally, the STAHLGRUBER fair team broadcasted several hours live from the training center in Sulzbach-Rosenberg every day. Premium suppliers such as Bosch, ZF, Vigor, KS-Tools or Liqui Moly presented their products under real conditions directly at the vehicle in the STAHLGRUBER fair workshop. Here too, interaction with customers took place via topic-related live chats.

PV Automotive also had an additional “live offer” at the start: As part of the PV LIVE! ON TOUR, interested customers could have the latest workshop equipment demonstrated and explained to them in a regional sales store. Our customers were thus able to touch and try out the equipment during the virtual trade fair – of course with the application of a comprehensive hygiene concept.
