Top employer 2016

STAHLGRUBER – the top employer in the industry

In the “Top nationale Arbeitgeber 2016” (“Top National Employers 2016”) survey, STAHLGRUBER was again voted into first place in the Wholesale category. Hermann Kahlich (Human Resources Manager) was delighted to accept the "Top National Employer 2016" award during the presentation ceremony at the Museum for Communication in Berlin in January.

“The award is again a great sign of appreciation for the work we do and wonderful external feedback for STAHLGRUBER”, said Bernhard Strauch, Managing Director of STAHLGRUBER GmbH. This is also reflected in the large number of applications for apprenticeship positions and, in line with this, the excellent examination results of our graduates. STAHLGRUBER invests a large amount of time and money in vocational training and continuing professional development as well as individuals’ career development potentials. This commitment has now been rewarded with the TOP Employer award. “We operate 120 sites in Germany and abroad and see ourselves as a large family”, Bernhard Strauch continued.

We are also extremely proud of our subsidiary PV Automotive, which is at the top of the ranking for medium-sized enterprises (up to 2,000 employees).

“Digitisation and globalisation are radically changing our work environment. The objective of the FOCUS award is to honour those companies that are best equipped to face these challenges and, even more importantly, are successfully using the enormous opportunities related to this transformation - for their own benefit and that of their employees”, BurdaNews Managing Direction Burkhard Grassmann said. In autumn 2015, the German FOCUS magazine in collaboration with the Xing business network, the Kununu rating platform and the Statista statistics portal ascertained the top employers with a staff of more than 500 in various industries. The special aspect of this representative survey of a total of 70,000 subjects is that it is based on employee ratings from all hierarchical and age levels. Those surveyed rated such factors as work atmosphere, salaries and career opportunities together with many other things that characterise an excellent employer, such as interesting work activities, team spirit among coworkers and a good work-life balance. Employees rated employers, staff members their bosses.
